Riviera Maya
The charming town of Playa del Carmen and it's resort area, the Riviera Maya, aren't too far from Cancun as the hummingbird flies. But they're worlds away in attitude. Visit the Riviera Maya to relax and unwind. Enjoy the sun, the miles of beach and the good living at TNT's all-inclusive resorts. For added interest, Tulum, one of the Yucatan's most magnificent Mayan ruins, is nearby.

Mexico's Beaches are Better Than Ever!

All-Inclusive Resorts with Every Amenity
TNT hotels on the Riviera Maya are all-inclusive. That is, just about everything you need - accommodations, meals, snacks, drinks, kids clubs, and most sports and activities are included in one price. For example, the Iberostar Tucan, Club Viva Azteca, Reef Club Playacar and Barcelo Maya Beach each offer tennis, windsurfing, kayaking, fitness and aerobics classes, scuba lessons, and kids activities. You get a great value and you won't be digging for your wallet throughout your vacation.

Mayan Ruins
Just south of Playa del Carmen is Tulum, largest of the coastal cities built by the Maya and the only one the Mayans still inhabited when the Spanish arrived. The largest building at Tulum is the Castillo, overlooking the Caribbean from a 40-foot cliff. Exploring this fascinating archeological site is a great way to spend a day.

Day Trips
Another nearby destination is Akumal, the "Place of the Turtle," a palm-fringed bay protected by a natural barrier reef. And just 12 miles off the coast is Cozumel, a lovely island with secluded coves, great beaches, and beautiful reefs. The 45-minute ferry ride makes it a perfect day trip. Craving something a little livelier, maybe some serious shopping? Head up to Cancun.

What to Wear
Think tropical. Light and casual is the way to go here, with a cotton dress or light jacket for dressing up.
